I prayed for my own Vlad last night!

This dude is just yummy. I so love this character. He is macho alpha but not afraid to show is soft side.
I cannot wait for book 3

You're so vain.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Twice Tempted?

The end! I actually had to go to the book store and look up the book and verify that it actually ended that way and the audio version didn't end in the middle of the book somewhere. Worst (although on author's end - best) ending ever! The next one better come out sooner, rather than later.

Would you be willing to try another one of Tavia Gilbert’s performances?

Only if there was no 'Vlad' in them I think.

I got the free eBook of the first book in the series on Kindle. Read it and thought it was a bit interesting so I figured I'd use a credit and get book two here on Audible. Well it almost ruined the series for me. When reading the first book I imagined Leila as being stong and not your usual flakey female. I pictured Vlad as a true vampire in the modern age.

But when Tavia Gilbert read the second book to me all that shattered like glass on a stone castle floor. She read Leila as being a breathless, bimbo type female and her "Vlad" accent nearly made me laugh every time she used it. I understand he would have a 'Romanian accent' but she just put the typical Dracula play voice on him and it made him very comical. Her versions of them made me think more of a Broadway vampire comedy rather than a serious love story with one of the most heartless men in history.

I will of course, get the third book. Not sure if it will be audio yet. And that is because this one felt like it ended in the middle of the story and I guess like Sheldon, I have completion issues.

I will say that Frost did a great job with the modern versus ancient attitudes and expectations and conflicts between the two main characters.

I love this series The Way It Is it just makes you just want to immediately go into the next book I love this series and I love the narrator has a perfect voice and it was great to have that same voice through the whole series.

Love this series!

If you are a Vampire fan, Dracula fan you will love this series. Ms. Frost takes the story to an original level while still keeping all the classic facts we know and love about out prince of darkness. The love scenes are hot! The action and storyline in great and the narrator does such an excellent job of bringing each and every character to life. I've already purchased the third book and counting down the days to its release.

Book 2 Interesting Sequel

An interesting sequel to Once Burned & does a good job advancing the story arc. **Spoilers!** Wow, breakup, wedding & vampirehood - the personal relationship jumps with great leaps. Gilbert does a good job with narration. She is the voice of this series.

Tavia's voice is so soothing to hear...I love her readings of other books and she can swap between male and female nuances and have you believing what you hear with minimal effort... this one she does justice to like she does to any of the books she narrates.

Great story and narration, poor chapter transition

I've started reading/listening to Jeaniene Frost because of her close association with another excellent author(s) Ilona Andrews and I haven't been let down. The story lines are great and so is the narration. The only problem I find with this audio is the transition from one chapter to the next. Sometimes there is a few seconds pause to let you know, other times its like a continuation sentence, no pause at all.
As with other books when you get caught up, I WANT MORE!. Oh well, I'll be rereading/listening to them again and again.
