Loved the book, but the Female Narrator ruined it

I read this book when Ruby Dixon first released it a chapter a day on her FB page. Loved it so much I bought the Kindle version, now bought the audio version but I am returning this title. The story was great, a little drawn out but still a good story. I LOVE Mason Lloyd and tried to get through this cause I'd listen to him read the dictionary, he is that good. Jillian Macie, not so much though. Her narration sounded whiny with little differentiation between characters. Often she sounded like a high school drama queen and her male voices are cringe worthy. I am returning this book because I just can't listen to the female voice any longer. Guess I'll learn to live with the Kindle version.

laughed out loud a few times due to dialogue between characters. they have some funny banter. overall a very happy, fluffy read

Cute strangers to lovers alien romance

I liked it! Being introduced to other races outside of Messakah aliens from IPB. Good for a quick, sweet read! More Praxian romances would be awesome.

Hesitated

I hesitated to order this because even though it says it’s book one of the series, it’s actually book 3. Books one and two are not on audible. I’m the type that likes to start at the beginning but because I’m familiar with Ms. Dixon’s Dragon series, which I thoroughly enjoy, I went ahead and took the risk. Although there are some hints of a backstory, I enjoyed the book as a standalone story. I have two complaints, one, that there were some areas that dragged a little bit and two, the erotic scenes in my mind were a little too long. One scene was two chapters long. It’s a sad day when sex becomes boring. The narrators were perfect. I will continue with the series.

so far my favorite book from Ruby Dixon! it hit all the right buttons and the storyline was satisfying.

Hilarious and a perfect weekend listen

If you’ve ever enjoyed anything by Ruby Dixon this is wonderful I love the world this is centered in and the fact it mentions a Drakoni warrior. I really want a story with a Drakoni gladiator now!

This was a spicy,funny tale! Loved every moment of it ! Jillian Macie and Mason Lloyd ‘s narration was awesome!

Praxilian males are not all the same.

A case of mistaken identity on who was the bad guy. But after an accidental kidnapping the heroine finally starts to see that this Praxilian is the nice guy. The couple have a bit of PTSD to get over being slaves in their past, but it doesn’t dwell on it to much. A good story, but not my favorite of the series. The Ice Planet Barbarian and Icehome series are my favorite by this author. Narration as usual is great.
