  • Dr. Gordon Crozier best-selling author of Heal Your Cells, Save Your Life
    Jul 30 2024
I first read Dr. Crozier's first book years ago and you'll hear me mention the opening line of the book on this episode. I had never heard of someone contemplating such drastic action to try to alleviate their pain and suffer.

Luckily, Dr. Crozier didn't go to route, and we have his wisdom, expertise, and practice in Florida to be grateful for even considering such an operation. Dr. Crozier is truly someone that took all that pain and fear and transformed it into the next phase of his amazing life.

Dr. Crozier takes integrative medicine a step farther by using genetic testing to develop a unique treatment plan for every one of his patients. Genetic testing allows Dr. Crozier to get to the root of illness and disease by examining his patients on a cellular level. Instead of using a cookie cutter approach to treatment, he allows your genes to tell him exactly what your body needs to heal.

Dr. Crozier then uses that information to recommend a combination of IV therapies, supplements, nutrition, and other natural therapies. Dr. Crozier has successfully treated a wide array of conditions and diseases, including chronic fatigue, tick-borne disease, parasitic infection, and mold (and other) toxicity.

He has also been enormously successful in reducing the symptoms of autism and ADD/ADHD in children. His underlying philosophy is to “optimize the body”. In his spare time, Dr. Crozier joins his wife Michelle as an active member in his local church and as a compassionate caregiver and volunteer in his community.

  • Pierson Geyer and Juniper Runion of Agriberry Farm.
    Jul 23 2024
It's berry season! Well, depending upon when you're listening to this, you might just be 'berry listening' season. I had the great fortune to sit down with Pierson Geyer and June Runion to talk about another one of our great vendors, Agriberry Farm. We talk about how the pandemic affected their work force, how Mother Nature never lets you take a day off and the importance of fruit in your diet. They say apples don’t fall far from their trees, and that is surely true of Pierson Geyer, because he inherited a deep connection to farming and community from Anne and Chuck. Being the farm’s General Manager gives him an active role in all aspects of the farm, including the markets and CSA.In addition, he oversees the field, kitchen, and warehouse activities at the farm. Pierson’s exceptional talents are recognized on and off the farm, as is evidenced by his selection for the peer-nominated “40 Under 40” Class of 2018 list of national leaders in agriculture. This recognition is due in part to his role as the youngest-ever president of the North American Raspberry and Blackberry Association (NARBA.) Pierson has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and he uses his teaching skills daily in the office and in the fields to help strengthen the Geyer family farm.Juniper Runion started working at Agriberry as a Kitchen Associate in July of 2020, and stepped into the role of Kitchen Manager in April of 2021, and is now coordinating their CSA membership program, social media, as well as their educational tours, among other special projects.Juniper brings a love of food in all its stages to her work and personal life – from planting seeds to tending crops to harvest, preparation, and preservation of many kinds. When she is not leading tours or engaging with CSA members, Juniper can be found growing vegetables, flowers, and fibers from seed, as well as baking delicious gluten free sourdough bread and playing in the woods.Website ➡️ https://agriberry.com/Agriberry CSA ➡️ https://agriberry.com/fruit-csas/richmond-fruit-csa/IG ➡️ https://www.instagram.com/agriberryfarm/FB ➡️ https://www.facebook.com/agriberryfarmThe Good Foods podcast is hosted by Shardan Sandoval and it’s possible that you've heard my voice on a commercial here and there, particularly since I'm currently one of the many talented National Creative Production Designers for iHeartMedia and to date, I voiced and produced commercials that have aired from Hartford to Hawaii.I created this podcast for Good Foods Grocery in March of 2023 and it is a joy to create this for you.My IG ➡️ https://rb.gy/n60brMy LinkedIn ➡️ https://rb.gy/9d31vkBuy Me a Coffee ➡️https://buymeacoffee.com/shardansandovalComments, questions, partner, and topic suggestions can be sent to us below and we look forward to hearing from you! • Neal D. Barnard, MD, FACC.
    Jul 16 2024
It was an absolute honor to be able to talk to the renowned Dr. Neal Barnard, who's latest book, The Power Foods Diet is available now.

We talked about how he began his career, why he chooses a vegan diet, the book itself and although I didn't mention about any tour dates that his band is on, we did talk about that.

Yes, he's been called 'Eddie Van Halen with a medical degree.'

Neal D. Barnard, MD, FACC, is an adjunct faculty member of the George Washington University School of Medicine and president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, where he heads a research team investigating scientific issues in nutrition and health.

His work revolutionized the dietary approach to type 2 diabetes; he now does the same for weight loss. Dr. Barnard is editor-in-chief of the Nutrition Guide for Clinicians, a nutrition textbook made available to all U.S. medical students.

He is also editor of Good Medicine, a magazine with a circulation of 150,000. He is the New York Times bestselling author of Dr. Neal Barnard's Program for Reversing Diabetes, Power Foods for the Brain, The 21-Day Weight-Loss Kickstart, and most recently Your Body in Balance, among many others.
