    When will I be ready for my second discipline?

    1. When the first discipline is on autopilot
    2. When you are not tempted to go backwards
    3. When the 1st discipline is sustainable

    When 3 or more chords are twined together they can’t be easily broken.

    1. Discipline- attracts the right lifestyle, the right mindset, and creates value.
    2. Identity- writes ✍️ your reason why for you and it creates the Desire.

    As you grow you get stronger because the disciplines are getting stronger. Think compound interest!!!

    The moment you see the value in what you’re doing who you’re becoming, the Desire is created.
    The Value and Desire will strengthen the disciplines, it’s a beautiful sight to see.

    The Desire is where everything changes:

    • What you want
    • Who you want to be
    • Where you go
    • Who has access to you
    • Who you spend your time with

    The right discipline will get you here and you will never look back.

    Learn how to lean into 1 discipline at a time to get the best results moving forward.

    Connecting your reason WHY to your discipline I don’t really need a reason WHY, 🙌 you do!!!

    Comfort is not your friend through this process.

    1. Learning how to let go of who you used to be grow through what you go through
    2. Putting the right disciplines in place
    3. Cultivating a WHY that will stand up to your excuses

    What not to do…

    1. Don’t make your WHY about your kids
    2. Don’t make it about your spouse
    3. Don’t make it about you family
    4. You have to do it for YOURSELF

    If you build a WHY for any other reason you will:

    • Blame those people eventually
    • Quit
    • Make excuses

    How to construct your reason WHY?

    1. Renew your mind- change the way you think Roman 12:2. Your old mindset keeps you from finding success in your new lifestyle. You will never overcome with the mindset that created this old lifestyle you must renew your mind.
    2. Define who you want to become- the moment you do this, it will write ✍️ your reason WHY for you.
    3. Evolve your WHY as you grow through this process. Keep adding to it as you grow.

    My transformation came because I defined who I wanted to become.

    When you build your WHY this way every excuse will have to go through your WHY to get access to you.

    1. That action doesn’t support who you want to become, so you’re not going.
    2. Those people don’t support who you want to become, so for now you need to distance yourself from them.
    3. That action doesn’t honor and glorify God so you’re not taking part in this right now.
    4. That diet doesn’t support who you want to be, so you need to find a better solution or a better diet.

    The mindset/mentality/disciplines/passion/purpose they all feed the desire in my heart ♥️.

    This is good stuff and when you define who you want to be…everything changes!!!!

    Do you have a plan in place for the 2 different types of pushback?

    1. Anytime we introduce something new that creates instant pushback.
    2. When you’ve been living a new lifestyle and you go back and feed the old you. Something that was almost dead you gave it water/nutrients and gave it life to grow. Like a plant that was about to die you gave it new life.

    The second type of pushback is where most of us spend a lot of time. How do we keep this second type of pushback from surfacing?

    1. We swallow our pride and stand firm on our beliefs
    2. We take those thoughts captive and make Them obedient to Christ.
    3. We don’t give those thoughts a foot hold
    4. We control our response
    5. Have a plan in place
    6. I’m not going to let that stuff linger
    7. Show some discipline and be the bigger person

    What happens when you step back into the second type of pushback?

    What are types of pushback?

    1. Healthy/unhealthy lifestyle
    2. Quit sodas
    3. Quit energy drinks
    4. Caffeine
    5. Quit smoking
    6. Quit bad habits

    How do you overcome pushback?

    1. Acknowledge that it is there call it out by name and grow through it instead of sitting in it daily
    2. Mental Toughness is built on the word of God
    3. Trench of Truth- the word of God on paper they are there when temptation arises.
    4. Stay close to God. Don’t give it a foothold!
    5. Find a way to do that something in a healthier way.
    6. Reward yourself with a healthy habit instead of feeding the old lifestyle.
    7. Be stronger than the desire to give in to who you used to be.

    What are you going to do when you fall back into who you used to be? Have a plan in place. Set the right disciplines in place so that you can overcome the obstacles that show up daily.
