First, I started listening to the author starting with the fourth monkey. I first encountered the narrator Edoardo Ballerini with Proxima Rising. So for me this was an easy purchase. The story was fun. It was a great listen. I listened to the entire book in one sitting. You just can’t go wrong with this pair.

Unhinged in the best way!

The story line will have you in a chokehold from minute one! This book is action packed yet still a touch a romance. By the end you’ll be questioning all your life decisions.

Fast paced

Very paced paced. Intriguing. I’ve read all of Barker’s books. I thought The Three Monkey’s series excellent but this is by far his best. This book has catapulted him from being a great author to the upper echelons of one of America’s greatest contemporary writers. Well done. Deede Blake, author

Fun Read

This was a fun concept and a fun book to listen too I personally cannot stand male narrators doing female characters but other than that it’s a solid enjoyable read.

Yes!!!!

Loved this book! Did not see things turning out the way they did! Loved the story, and all the different twists. Makes you think twice about things. Some things seemed a little repetitive, but all in all it needed to happen to help with the way the story ended. Would recommend, worth a credit.

If you have never read one of JD’s books or have been a fan since the beginning like me, you will love this and all of his other work and collaborations!

Great read- fast paced

Another really solid read from Barker. He consistently writes great storylines with smart characters. There were some parts about 75% through where some of the newly introduced characters got a bit muddled together, but I think that was more of a me problem vs a writing issue.

Captivating

I enjoyed this very much. The story was fantastic. Narration was perfect. The story had everything. Humor, suspense, love,. It was real page Turner.

Fast paced thriller with a naughty twist

Behind A Closed Door by J D Barker

Abby and her husband Brenden Hollander have been financially struggling as well as having marital problems. Believing that Brenden cheated with a coworker, they agree to see a marriage counselor. When the counselor suggests an App to help them work on their relationship, called Sugar and Spice, they download it. Almost immediately, their relationship heats up in a way that it hasn’t been in years, as the app is a version of Truth or Dare.

But as their Dares become more risqué, so does the game, which has access to their photos, history, and more. What would you do if you were asked a naughty date? Would you do it?

This book was extremely hot, with a mix of thrilling twists and some naughtiness that makes you wonder what is next. I found myself not wanting to put this book down. It was my first read by JD Barker but if this is the way his books are, it definitely will not be my last.

Amazing!

Such a great book! Loved that JD also kept the same 4MK narrator.
Looking forward to reading new books from this author, he is simply one of the best!
