Science shows that people with self-discipline are happier with their lives. They are successful in almost all areas of life - physical, mental, social, and even financial. And the good news is, self-discipline isn't some lucky mutation that people are randomly blessed with at birth. It is cultivated. It is learned. It might seem impossible. But the truth is, anyone can learn it. This book is developed precisely to help the average person build a lifelong habit of discipline.

Researchers estimate that some seven percent of Americans may at some time experience a condition called intermittent explosive disorder (IED), which is characterized by reoccurring periods of extraordinary anger, and millions more have less frequent yet equally damaging experiences with rage. If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. On May 17, 2014, Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves - and the world - for the better.

Most people only ever rely on their conventional intelligence (IQ) to get them through life, or worse, believe it to be the best indicator for success. For years this was thought to be the case, that IQ was the most accurate predictor of a person's potential, whether it's getting a leg up in your career or simply building better relationships in business/family life. However that is no longer the case. It's now commonly known that Emotional Intelligence (EQ) has the biggest impact here.

The truth is, overreacting hurts us as much as it hurts the people around us. You may see overreacting as an unchangeable part of your personality, but in reality, this tendency, like any other, can be unlearned.

Historia
The Brave Athlete solves the 13 most common mental conundrums athletes face in their everyday training and in races. You don't have one brain - you have three; your ancient Chimp brain that keeps you alive, your modern Professor brain that navigates the civilized world, and your Computer brain that accesses your memories and runs your habits (good and bad). They fight for control all the time and that's when bad things happen. What if you could stop the thoughts and feelings you don't want? You can.

The latest groundbreaking tome from Tim Ferriss, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek. For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

life changer
I thoroughly enjoyed the narration of this book. In my own soul, I found some insecurities and feelings of jealousy towards others as well, which was something I hadn't expected before listening to this book. But instead of being ashamed of those feelings, I could just recognize that we are all human and I could find solutions to eliminating and confronting those feelings. I highly recommend this book, since it is, in my eyes, therapeutic.

Wow!, is my opinion
Wow!, is my opinion on how Ian demonstrates exactly what you need to know about self-descipline, . He used proper examples and ideas that everyone experienced once or twice and used modern Events to explain things and how you can become discipline and not feel like a failure. Thank you Ian for spending time of creating this book. I learned so much and started implementing things in this book. I started to acknowledge success the right way towards Happiness
