The battle with the Iron Legion has left The Last Horizon battered and broken, drifting in space. Varic needs an exceptional engineer to fix his ship, and there’s only one person for the job: Mell, the master Aether technician.
But first, they have to break her out of prison.
Mell has been captured by the Advocates, a group of superpowered vigilantes who dominate their corner of the galaxy. They are led by Starhammer, an invincible champion with a personal obsession with Mell.
The Last Horizon may be crewed by the greatest heroes in the galaxy, but even they have to be careful with Starhammer. Every time he survives a battle, he grows stronger.
In another life, Varic saw the end of that road. If he lets Starhammer become too powerful, the galaxy is doomed.

Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

Wight and Baldree make a great team. Together they could take on any obstacle, beating all odds with the power of friendship!

Amazing. On track to top Cradle
I loved cradle, and two books into this series, I’m loving it just as much. This one is both more silly and more epic, which ends up being a lot of fun to read.

A worthy sequel!
As The Last Horizon and her crew stretch to find the final member of her crew, Will Wight really stretches his talent for creating a story that is interesting through comedy, drama, action, parody and even tribute. If you have even experienced a Will Wight book, you will not be disappointed, this is even better!

What would happen if a constantly evolving Superman was slowly going crazy?
This book stayed more focused than the first. It does does well to attempt to answer how the works would deal with a Superman going slowly insane with each evolution. Excited to see where the story goes.
