When a friend coaxes Brent out for a night of wine and music, he puts Brent and Jon on a collision course. Their chemistry is instantaneous. Jon gives Brent's battered body a much-needed remedial lesson in pleasure. And Brent gives Jon a reason to smile again.

Multiple reasons, actually. Neither man wants anything serious, but love has a habit of showing up whether it's welcome or not. No matter how hard they try, the two can't help having feelings for each other, even as life continues to throw them curveballs.

But they've both got baggage to unpack and hurt to move past, and if they can't leave their pasts in the past, they might just miss out on an amazing future.

Tears guaranteed

I cried so much, the voice actors did a too good of a job, tough subjects especially if one can project, but a well deserved happy ending ❤️

Melancholy

Very real life and melancholy through the entire book. I almost stopped listening a few times but got through it. Sweet characters but a bit too depressing for me.

the emotions

I loved how emotionally the narrator spoke and the writer wrote. I literally wanted to embraced the main characters

Amazing All Around

I absolutely loved this book. The author did an amazing job at expressing the emotions and turmoil of each character. I especially loved this story as I related strongly to Brent and his injury struggles.

Great narration but….

Both narrators were great. But the story…. It felt like the characters had the same conversation over and over and over and over again. It got really old and annoying.
