Didn't know I needed this.

Someone told me I should check this title out. I didn't know this was a thing and it really hit home for me. It was read and written very well and the narrator did a great job. It made the content easy to understand and gave me a great bit of stuff to work on moving forward. I am certain this will help me improve my life in so many areas in the future. I highly recommend this for anyone with an anxiety disorder or just anyone in general. I am certain anyone can glean something from it. Not terribly time consuming and a good listen.

Learned a lot about different attachment styles

This book does a deep dive in to different types of attachment styles, what may cause them, and how you can interact and work with them. I enjoyed listening to the psychology of the matter as I can definitely relate it to relationships in my life.

Great introduction Attachment Theory for newbies



Since my divorce, my pre-teen daughter has become exceptionally clingy and needy.  I understand things are hard for her, mainly since I must rejoin the workforce to provide for us.   A friend recommended this audiobook, and I am so glad she did. This book is an excellent overview of Attachment Theory and gives practical advice about overcoming anxious attachments. This book has helped me understand my daughter’s issues and conclude that my daughter needs to see a therapist. We have an appointment next week, and my daughter and I downloaded and filled out the accompanying worksheets in preparation for this appointment. If you don’t know much about attachment styles and want to learn more. I highly recommend this book.

Personal Insights

I never would have considered myself an anxious person until I read this book. I don't mean that in a bad way, it really opened my eyes to the bad habits I had developed in forming relationships, and gave me a lot of insight into problems I have had over the years that I could never really explain. I think I'm very much at the beginning of healing my attachment style, but this is definitely set me on the right path.
