Insightful For Myself And Dealing With Others

When listening to this book it was immediately relatable. It spoke about many things that made me not only evaluate my relationship with others but also myself. It exposes things you don't normally think about or know and makes so much sense when it comes to dealing with different behavioral patterns and motives. If you are suffering from attachment issues it gives you insight into how to understand and correct it.

This was a great listen!

This is one of the most transformative books I have listened to on the topic of relationships, and I highly recommend it! The author offers practical solutions for those struggling with anxiety, isolation, and fear in relationships. I learned so much about emotional regulation and how I can set healthy boundaries, something that has always been a personal struggle.

There are also great tools and techniques for conflict resolution, changing negative thinking patterns, and turning subconscious thoughts from anxiety fuel into powerful positivity. I appreciated the questionnaire that helped me determine my own attachment style, as well as get a good idea into the attachment styles of people in my life. Lots of insight I plan to start applying right away.

invaluable insight

I genuinely had no idea there were so many styles of attachment-whether that be secure or insecure attachment. Learning this has opened my eyes to why some people act the way they do and why most, if not all, of my relationships have failed. Understanding the different attachment styles can help you understand other people better and help you navigate relationships better. I appreciate that this audiobook acknowledges that change isn't always easy and provides guidance for navigating challenges along the way.

Fabulous explanations!

There were great chapters on styles that were well-seauenced. Loved all chapters except the one on disorganized style...it sounded a bit like anxious and avoidance, which is what many field experts call it. I felt the examples on the style needed more clarity. I also felt like the first part of the book the narrator had a lot of personality, but as time went on there was an emotional flatness and I wasn't as engaged. Overall great resources if you're new to attachment styles.

The Jokes on Me! I bought this for my man

I found this book to be very helpful and insightful in understanding my attachment style after buying this to help my boyfriend, lol. I guess I have an attachment style! Who knew? The author explains the four main attachment styles: secure, anxious, avoidant, and disorganized, and how they are formed in childhood and influenced by our parents. She challenges you to find your attachment style, and it was eye-opening. The book is full of practical solutions and exercises to transform insecure attachment patterns into secure ones. The author teaches how to cope with emotions, communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and build intimacy with your partner. The fact that many of us don't know how to do this, or give it much thought, is the main reason why relationships fail. I enjoyed reading this book and learned a lot about myself, which I wasn't expecting,...Since I bought it for my boyfriend. I'm now clear about what my attachment issues are. I think this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to improve their emotional well-being and create lasting and loving relationships.

Breaking free from invisible chains

Let's get real for a sec – this listen was a bit of an eye-opener for me. It felt like someone finally put words to all those weird vibes and cycles in my relationships. You know, that whole push-pull drama that can make you feel like you're losing your mind. It's laid back in how it explains stuff, like a mate helping you see why you do the things you do, without making you feel bad about it.

The part about the 50 affirmations hit different. I was skeptical at first – like, how's repeating stuff to myself gonna change anything? But it kinda does? It's like slowly cleaning out all the junk in your head that keeps you stuck. And the exercises for getting closer to your partner were pretty straightforward, not the usual complicated advice that feels like you need a degree to understand it.

Honestly, I didn't expect much going in, thought it might be another one of those self-help spiels. But it was grounded and made a lot of sense. It's cool how it shows you can actually do something about the way you feel and act in relationships, instead of just telling you what's wrong. Gave me a bit of hope and a push to try things differently. Worth a listen if you're tired of the same old relationship drama and wanna get a grip on what's going on with you.
