Publisher's summary

Two rivals. One law internship. A whole lot of objectionable activity. It wasn’t always this way between us. We were best friends growing up.
Competitive? Yeah. Ruthless? Definitely. Neither of us liked to lose.

But the intense chemistry? That’s new. The hatred in his eyes? That’s new, too.

I should let it go. There’s too much bad blood between our families. Between us. But I can’t. I don’t think he can, either.

Now we’re gunning for the same internship. If he thinks I’ll back down, he’s dead wrong.

Once upon a time, I lost everything. I won’t let it happen again.

Go ahead. Try me.

From the author of Want Me comes the second new adult college romance in the Extracurricular Activities series. Expect drama, snark, feels, egregious misuse of private property, a guy who’s way more heteroflexible than he realized, and a semi-sorta reformed bad boy who loves to test him.

Childhood Friends- to Enemies- to Lovers!!!

Although, this book is not as spicy as the first book, it is well written and a very good listen. I love how the first book only gave a hint of there relationship but never gave the full extent of it away because it made this book completely worth the listen. The fact that there relationship problems did not revolve completely around Cam but around family drama made it luring. In addition, the heteroflexible thing has got to go LOL, but I adore how Mark does not freak out about liking Chet because these are feelings he's always had deep down inside.

So sexy and sweet!

I loved the first book but was really missing the dual POV. So glad this book had it. There’s just something about getting to hear both sides that makes me even more invested in the HEA. This book gave me all the feels. Because Chet and Mark had known each other so long and gone through so much together, it made their journey believable. I loved their banter and, of course, their sexy and sweet times. Looking forward to the next book!

LOVED it!

I was so blown away by this book! I listened to the first book and it was heavy on the sex, lighter on the story. I still enjoyed it though so I bought this one, expecting something similar. But this far exceeded expectations! It was a way slower burn, and rich in character development and world building. The heat level was scorching as I expected, but the story was the real star. Super satisfying ending and such a delicious journey to get there.

Good

I love this book, as I loved the previous one. My problem is that I CANNOT tell a different between the 2 main character voices. I can figure it out by context, but sometimes I actually have to look at the app to see the chapter name (thank goodness that is there). There really should be a bigger difference between the voices. He’s a good narrator - has a good voice - but it is driving me a little crazy.

I Liked the First Book Better

I liked the first book in the series better. That being said, this one's enjoyable. Perfectly narrated.

So much more!!!

I loved the first book, but this was another level, Still steamy, but the writing and storytelling was so deep and insightful without extreme angst. If you buy anything in the next five years, this should be it!

Another great audiobook by Neve Wilder!

I always love when an audiobook is released and it's a surprise! I knew Try me was coming so I was extremely happy when it just popped up in Audible. This was everything I wanted it to be! Enemies to Lovers/Former Best Friends/Second Chance. Loved Chet & Mark's story. And as always, Kirt Graves was awesome as the narrator.

The Nerve of you Neve Wilder!

I didn’t think this series could get any better. I mean come on, Nate and Eric rocked my literal socks off. And they hot as hell.

Now you throw me to Mark and Chet- holy. I will say that I am surprised at how different these stories are. I vaguely expected more of the same- nope!! Not even close!

Not many guys of the frat really knew mark. He is a very different guy then you see glimpses of on Nate and Eric’s story.

He and Chet feel so deep and love so hard.

When they say that there is a very thin line between love and hate; Chet and mark are that line.

Fan-freaking-tastic!!

All the spice AND a storyline with depth!!

I came to enjoy the narration by Kirt Graves in Want Me, so I was excited to see him narrating this book as well! He is enjoyable to listen to and does a fantastic job performing this book on his own despite it between a dual POV story!

“I’d been born into nothing and ended up with everything. Chet had been born into everything and ended up with nothing.” This book is hot and spicy but the plot is has a lot of depth and was just such a well written storyline! It’s a childhood friends to enemies to lovers story that has tough moments, scorching chemistry and fantastic banter and a sexual awakening for one of them! The characters go through such incredible growth throughout the course of the story and it is truly a fantastic journey of two former friends coming together and overcoming so much in their lives!

The beginning of the book unpacks quite the background between Mark and Chet from the start. Their parents are friends and their dads work together but that all shifts one day when Chet’s dad gets sent to jail for embezzlement. Chet sneaks into Mark’s room for comfort like they always used to and they end up hooking up that night. The kicker is that Chet is openly gay but Mark doesn’t identify as gay but he doesn’t stop it from happening. While all that is happening, one of their mutual friends overdoses and Mark thought Chet was responsible as he was with him that night so now he hates him. Fast forward and they are both doing an internship at the same law firm for the summer during college. So much has happened in the past with them including their past encounter. What happens when they are in now close proximity again?
