The System has taken the Earth, but all is not lost.

With the advantage of the mix-up of starting in the Dungeon, Randidly has been able to found a Village for survivors to gather. With their growing forces, they've begun to nurture other outposts of humanity, teaching them the hard-earned lessons he paid for in blood and sweat.

Yet the tests thrown at them by the System are not yet done.

The Village's tribulation lurks in nearby Turtletown, fleeing a direct confrontation and wearing many faces. Hordes of monsters gather, preparing to strike when they least expect it. Most worryingly, unsavory characters begin to emerge from amongst the survivors, taking advantage of the chaos to benefit themselves.

Amidst this storm, a message comes from Shal. Randidly's teacher needs his assistance to protect the legacy of his family. With the help of Lyra Silver, he hatches a daring plan to finally catch the slippery Tribulation, once and for all.

Because even if it takes him to an alien world and requires him to trust the safety of the Village to other survivors, Randidly Ghosthound always pays his debts.

I am not huge into listening to books, but I must say this book as drawn me in. Randidly’s adventures, trials and tribulations are exciting. Keep the amazing books coming!

Just can’t get enough!

In Book 1, Randidly is deeply concerned for his friends ace & Sydney. By Book 2, even though Randidly found out towards the end of B1 that they are most likely alive and in trouble, he decides that everything on earth is settled? Leaves earth to help his master to repay his “debt” and somehow confuses his moral compass in the process. We as listeners/readers are left feeling like Randidly isn’t an actual person. He’s just a flavored soda drink — the flavor is constantly changing, and not for the better.

Not as good as book 1

If you like Defiance of the fall you will like this series
Narration is also pretty good.

to the way the first book ended I stepped away from this series until 2 days ago the first books ending was crap, this one though better than the first it's ending wasn't really much of an ending either it ended more like an episode in dragon Ball z than an ending in a book, with many many things unanswered and almost nothing answered I guess that is just this writer's way of making a book though not bad it's not good either the book other than how it ends is enjoyable from start to finish it just fails to answer any questions for a person coming to a book I'm not interested in questions being answered in the final story I'm interested in questions being answered throughout a story or throughout the book I paid for but anyway if you get this book you will enjoy it but there's a good chance when you get to the end you going to feel similar to me and wonder why he chose to answer almost no questions when others could have been answered.

I quite enjoy this series. For story line I gave 4 stars because, while there is progression and a set of coherent goals, it does drag on a bit. I get a little frustrated with all the self reflection of the MC which gets repetitive.

The performance is fairly good. The narrator certainly has good pace and generally good inflection, but for some reason I just can't get behind his female voices.

Another solid post-apocalyptic LitRPG
