Ilea likes punching things. And eating.

Unfortunately, there aren’t too many career options for hungry brawlers. Instead, the plan is to quit her crappy fast-food job, go to college, and become a fully functioning member of society. Essentially—a fate worse than death.

So maybe it's lucky that she wakes up one day in a strange world where a bunch of fantasy monsters are trying to kill her?

On the bright side, "killing those monsters right back" is now a viable career path! For she soon discovers her new home runs on a set of game-like rules that will allow her to punch things harder than in her wildest dreams. Well, maybe not her wildest dreams, but it’s close.

With no quest to follow, no guide to show her the way, and no real desire to be a Hero—Ilea embarks on a journey to discover a world full of magic. Magic she can use to fight even bigger monsters.

She’s struggling to survive, has no idea what will happen next, and is loving every minute of it. Except, and sometimes also, when she’s poisoned and/or has set herself on fire. It’s complicated.

Listen to the story that took Royal Road by storm with more than 60 million views and counting.

This author has done a fantastic job creating this story over the last 4 years. I’ve read all ~10,000 pages (900+ chap) the author has written so far and can’t wait for more. The narrator also does a great job inserting her emotion into it.

The start of a long and awesome story of an easy going battle junkie.

I loved the story! It has humor, adventure, friendships, twists and turns. As someone that listens to a lot of litrpg series, I appreciate that when the MC levels up more than 1!level the author notes the starting and ending level after each battle rather than DING 5-6 levels in a row. The narrator is one of the best I’ve come across and throws in enough accents and changes to distinguish most characters. The only issue I have with the audiobook is the chuckling, it’s frequent enough to nearly ruin the experience. The narrator is more than skilled enough to make up for it elsewhere, but it made me want to switch to a physical copy a few times.

Outstanding narration and story with one flaw

While this is a serialized Royal Road book, it doesn't sound like a bunch of disjointed snipets like some other ones. I highly recommend this. Can't leave without saying Andrea really did a great job with the narration.

Great audio adaption

I have a love/hate with new audiobook series. Love to find something new and amazing, hate having to wait for the next book and wondering if the sequel will flop or not. I will be preordering Book 2 as soon as it’s available. Andrea Parsneau was casted perfectly for this role. I’m not sure if there’s another female narrator out there that can manage to be an OP female Badass you’d love to hang and have a beer with. Great job, and now I confirmed that a previous series she did that I returned because the female MC was a mental health nightmare was completely on the author.

Anyways, 10/10 would listen again. This was a refreshing take on the OP MC LitRPG genre that’s been getting a lot of traction lately (Unbound, DotF, Primal Hunter, Randiddly Ghosthound, etc).

The only bad thing about this book…
