Heartwrenching coming of age story. This was a much darker read than I expected, but was beautifully written and narrated.

Excellent coming of age story.

Brought back so many memories. High school is hard for most people without being gay. Be true to yourself!

I could not put this story down. The time references (exact year I graduated) and Pete's story were extremely compelling. The narrator was incredibly talented. I am moving on to the next book immediately.

⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (4.5/5 Stars)

Picture of Me by Leta Blake took me on an emotional rollercoaster. It beautifully captures the intensity of young love, with all the hope, confusion, joy, and heartbreak that come with it.

My heart ached for Peter throughout so much of this story. More than anything, I wanted him to be loved openly and fully. While I was happy that he found his person and experienced a love that felt real and meaningful, I couldn't help but hurt for everything he had to endure along the way.

Adam was probably the character who stirred up the most conflicting emotions in me. On one hand, I was glad he was able to love Peter and acknowledge what they had together. On the other hand, I found myself frustrated and angry with the way he handled his sexuality and the impact his choices had on Peter. His fear and uncertainty felt realistic, but that didn't make the consequences any easier to watch unfold.

Leta Blake did an incredible job creating characters who felt authentic and flawed. The story made me feel sadness, hope, frustration, and love all at once. Even when I wanted to shake some sense into the characters, I was deeply invested in their journey.

A beautifully written, emotional read that left my heart both broken and healed by the end.

There are a handful of extraordinary, beautifully told contemporary MM Romance stories and audiobooks. PICTURES OF YOU is one of them. Everything about this audiobook is near perfection. Leta Blake’s writing, and Michael’s performance are filled with emotion and nuance. I highly recommend this audiobook. After I finished listening, I was not ready to say goodbye to these characters, so I’m excited to continue the story in Book Two.
