Publisher's summary

False pirates are hunting him. Gods want to enslave him. A terrorist just wants to watch it all burn.

Welcome back to the Tower.

After training off-planet with a deceptive god and her vicious cat, Lucas is thrown off balance by how quickly things have changed upon his return. The Tower has merged several floors and become a series of islands among a vast ocean. Danger is everywhere now. Elemental storms, bio-engineered monsters, and creatures from the deep abyss roam the area.

Amongst this chaotic region stands the Golden Door Quest. An open competition offering a grand prize to whoever solves it first. For Lucas and his friends, it could mean a true escape from the Tower. But the journey will be a perilous one fraught with hidden threats. Because while the Tower climbers compete for the prize, gods and other forces scheme in the background for control.

Dive into a LitRPG apocalypse story with classes, skills, monster waves, and a progression system full of secrets and possibilities. Perfect for fans of Rogue Ascension, Defiance of the Fall, and The Primal Hunter!

Pretty fun

The blood powers are fun to read however the introduction of tano vhar was much too late in the series to feel like a natural progression of conflict. The conflict between Gods and climbers is well phrased. On the other hand there are too many gods for the scope of the story

Seriously big tower!

This is such a great series.
Lots of great characters, action and gods getting involved with the tower challenge.
No spice or harem.
I'm really enjoying this series and looking forward to the next book.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

a great sequel

What a cliffhanger from a banger of a sequel! I can't wait to see what book 3 brings for Lucas and how much more wild the ride can be in the future. however, I'm a little concerned with the constant use of cliffhangers.

Not bad

The story is top notch overall but the pacing is a bit problematic. Most of the actual plot happens in the last three hours or so, the rest seems like filler.

WTF. MC is an idiot.

MC makes dumbass choice after choice that make no sense. I have no idea what happened to the author after the first book. Book 1 had some issues, but this book makes no sense. The ending is the worst.

The storyline is just kinda lame...

This was was supposed to be a tower climber series with leveling and battle... meanwhile they spend the entire book on a single floor with no monsters and everybody fighting eachother. All the while the MC is pitifully weak compared to the first book and just overall a hopeless whiner. I wasted my credit this time.

hated this arc

This book starts by traumatizing the Mc with a side bonus of saying you know what? Now you're also 20 lvls behind everyone in this grand race to find the hidden door. Which could have been cool, but we don't get a fun pirate arc. We get an arc where "the tower" cheats putting in enemies that have to be fought at the bottom of the sea that are also much stronger than everyone even the cool new shadow girl and her grim reaper look.
