Publisher's summary

In this lucid classic, beloved teacher Ayya Khema introduces the listener to the essence of the Buddhist path. She addresses the how and why of meditation, providing a clear framework for understanding the nature of karma and rebirth and the entirety of the eightfold path. With specific, practical advice, Ayya Khema illuminates the practices of compassion and sympathetic joy, and offers forthright guidance in working with the hindrances that we all encounter in meditation. Few introductory books are both simple and profound. Being Nobody, Going Nowhere is both.

Extremely profound

The narration was clear and well done, but above all, the content was impeccable. Simply amazing.

Will listen again.

Great tidbits and anecdotes throughout. Worth a second read. Talks more about why to mediate and the effects of but doesn’t exactly teach you HOW to meditate.

Flawless in Every Way

After taking a month to slowly read & grasp the wisdom of this book....also listening to audiobook al I was reading was helpful.
Now comes 'the work' of resetting my mind. I'd drifted away due to a traumatic experience that's occurred in my life. But soon to be done with that & meditation will enrich that experience & settle my being.
powerful book! Ayya Khema is a Crown Jewel in teaching the dharma!

Comprehensive book on Buddha's teachings

This book is actually a very comprehensive work on Buddha's teachings. I'd recommend this to all who wish to get a grasp on main concepts. While I was listening I caught myself thinking how many concepts are the same in Christianity as well.
