The heroine: Elicea - a waitress who is not afraid to stand up for herself. Sometimes to her own detriment. When she fights back against a handsy customer she immediately quits her job rather than get fired.

The Hero(s): Creed - he and his friends own the Crimson Elite. An ultra exclusive sex club where rich and famous come to play. They take privacy and secrecy very seriously and Creed is the one that doles out the punishments for anyone that breaks the non-disclosure agreement they sign when they become a member or come to work at the club.

The Story: Creed and his friend are at the restaurant and see Elicia fight for herself and walk out. Creed follows her out and offers her a job as bartender at his club. Elicia agrees and feels a pull toward Creed like she never felt before.

The love story between Creed and Elicia goes through a lot of ups and downs. Creed is of the mind that he is damaged and incapable of love because he enjoys his job. Though he loves his mother, he has never been in a relationship and doesn’t want one. Though he does want Elicea.

I liked the supporting characters in this book. The other guys who own the Crimson Elite with Creed were great and all have strong personalities. I plan to read on in this series to get their stories as well. This wasn’t your standard sex club (BDSM) type book. Despite the fact that many of the scenes take place in the club, this wasn’t a BDSM or sex club book. It was just the place they worked and the guys make a ton of money on the club so go to mafia-like extremes to safeguard their business.

The narration was done by Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright and they did a terrific job. I like the alpha male, gravely voice of Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie sounded age appropriate for Elicia. I enjoyed listening to this one and can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

not to bad, but not great either

First, I love any narration by Teddy Hamilton. But the story itself, tough. I kept thinking..."really? stop being a big baby" on her behalf. Silent treatment is something I despise, and that was her MO.
I just listened all the way thru to get thru it and say I did it lol

Throughly Enjoyed This Story

This was my first T.L. Smith book but it won’t be my last! I enjoyed the overall story as well as the main characters and side characters. I’m excited to see what comes next for these men. I really enjoyed the narrators and thought they did a good job bringing these characters to life. I would highly recommend this audiobook

Teddy Hamilton!

I wasn't in love with the characters, she's stupid and he's a D. Teddy's voice saves the male character. His deep voice is perfect!

good audible read

This was a good book. I loved that Alicia wasn't the excessively needy or money hungry type. good or bad, she stood on her own 2 feet and took care of business. Creed was the anti-emition guy that handled his business. cold to most but attentive to a select few. they were a great pair.

Enjoyable listen

This was my first book by this author and I’m pleasantly surprised. It held my attention from beginning to end and I liked the pacing.
Quick steamy listen with a little bad boy thrown in. I definitely plan on listening to the rest in this series.
This is a standalone. Narrators were great too!

Too short!!!!!

I feel the author could have developed the main characters so much more. I expected a better understanding of a business that includes violence against it’s clientele that wasn’t the mafia. I like the guy being a mystery to the woman but not to me. More character and story development would make a better story.

Dark and Sexy Read

This is my first book from the author and I never expected this one to take a dark turn. Sure, this has been categorized as dark, but I never expected that it would be the hero himself who has that dark side. I would have to admit that our MCs chemistry wasn't that explosive. But their push and pull especially over their feelings for each other is irresistible that by the time I reached the climax/ plot twist of the story, I decided to read through it until the very end. Also, it ended too soon (the audiobook version indicated that it has another long chapter left only to find out it's an excerpt from the next installment. Boohoo!) but regardless, plot-wise, it has all been laid out already. Ultimately, I am glad that this did not disappoint and again, this series will definitely be on my radar.

Amazing

Loved it all! Teddy Hamilton voice is to die for. He brings to life each character. I will be following this series.

Great book and narration

I wasn’t sure what to expect but this book really surprised me. Enough hot steamy to be a fun read but the story and characters are well developed too.
