Cool research, but very repetitive

Like another reviewer mentioned, the content in this audiobook is very repetitive--to the point that I wondered if I should continue at some points. Aside from that, the content does share a helpful method for reframing negative thoughts along with practical examples of how to do so. But I can't help wishing it were more concise and cut out all of the fluff. I think the author's YouTube videos on the topic of neurocycling are better in that respect.

Hire a Professional Narrator

I like the ideas in a book. However I found it a lot of work to listen to. The author should’ve hired a professional narrator. Her accent is hard to decipher, The delivery is amateurish, and the quality of the recording is poor.

Helpful, but slooooooow…

Good information, but one must wade through about half of the information telling us “why” the information is needed and good. Enough of trying to convince me already and please get on with the instruction! Loose a star.
Next, this is a perfect example of why the author should hire someone else to read their book. It was brutal trying to listen to what sounds like a polite and foreign kindergarten teacher… very difficult to relate to the author.
Please ask Dr. Jordan Peterson to read for you. Loose another star.

This entire process of how to use the neurocylcle can be reduced to a single chapter.

A must read for trauma issues

The most sensible help for people who have or are dealing with trauma issues instead of just putting them on drugs and giving them a coloring book. Thank you for your studies, research, and your time with this audio book.

Content was good. Not so happy with delivery

This is a book I have always wanted to read. So it became my first choice on Audible. The message of the book seems to be good. However, it was so repetitive. The voice/accent of the speaker made it hard to listen and she spoke so fast I could hardly pick up on the points she was making. Added to that she included some technical terms that needed to be explained to the average reader. I don't regret selecting it, but I needed a more suitable audio delivery.

Love the distinction between mind and brain

Cutting edge framework for describing what a human being is and how we function with the use of our brain as a tool. We are 90 to 99 percent mind she says, and to distinguish it as separate from our brain is a crucial distinction in understanding ourselves.

love the last few chapters

loved the last chapters, the first few chapters were hard to get through. a bit too repetitive and hard to understand the science part of it. But the actual info in the last chapters was great, can't wait to try it.
