Cora wants to live. Not just survive but truly experience all that life has to offer. There’s just one problem, her heart is sick and her father prevents any activity.
Her only outings are short, drab stays at the hospital. At first she is reluctant, but this new volunteer Jason, is just making it fun. Hopelessly upbeat, he begins to win her over. At first he tells her his adventures that awaken her heart. Soon they read daring novels and reenact adventures all throughout the hospital. Their friendship grows into something more. Will Cora finally experience love?
Their future is suddenly interrupted as they stumble on to a horrible murder. Now they are on the run from the killers and the law who wants them arrested for a murder they didn't commit and setting the hospital on fire; which if they know Cora, is impossible. With the killers and law enforcement close behind their only chance is hiding out in the Smokey Mountains.

Horrible AI voice- couldn't listen to it.
I think reading this story would be better.
The AI generated voice was horrible. It totally ruined the listening experience and is a disservice to the story and the author.
AI generated voice narration lacks where to stop in a sentence. It lacks human emotion, personality, and really sounds awful. Couldn't get past a few pages.
I don't honestly know if the story is any good.
Skip the AI generated voice and read the book instead.
You really cannot replace human inflection, emotion when listening to an audio version of a book.
AI doesnt grasps where/how to stop, pause, or even add emotion in a sentence.
Maybe AI will get better in the future.
Just my opinion of AI.
