Suspenseful throughout
This book was easy to listen to. There was consistent suspense throughout the book and a good twist. Some things did seem repetitive, and there was lots of drama if you're into that. Overall, it's entertaining and worth the credit.

Wow! I just finished it and my jaw is on the ground!
This book has me reeling, and I have a feeling it will stay with me for quite some time! I listen to so many books that I feel it takes a lot to shock me yet this one did. Listen to it and have fun!

Entertaining, though mostly frustrating!
I listened to this on a road trip and it was entertaining enough to pass the time quickly. I get so uncomfortable with stories where no one believes the protagonist, so I spent much of the story being frustrated. The narration is decent, though the voice of Chloe drove me bananas (which I guess was the point). Since I had read several reviews about the twists you won’t see coming, I kept waiting for something not-predictable to happen. My brain went all over the place to M. Night Shyamalan-type twists, but sadly it doesn’t get that complex. Still a fun read!

Great from start to finish!
It’s quite funny that I am at a loss for words right now. I just finished the book and I was literally in an “oh my God” state probably the entire way through the book. I feel like I can’t say too much because I think I would give key points to the story away. I’ve had several books that I have loved and not given five stars, but because of the thrill from this, from start to finish, it deserves nothing less.

Reading this made me angry
Was I entertained and wanted to keep reading, yes, but it was mostly because I was so angry with every single character. The gaslighting is out of this world. I had to stop reading this in the morning bc it got me so riled up and actually put me in a bad mood.

Meh
The plot wasn't very original. The main character was pathetic and way too helpless. She only stood up to Chloe once. The narration for Richard was so clichéd: "Dahling". How many actual men speak that way all the time?

Took one star off for the ENDING
I loved the book. Really smartly putted and very unpredictable. Listening is extremely exciting. I love the narrative too. The changing of voices is clever. Story keeps you on the edge. I’m gonna be waiting for the proper ending though. Maybe next book as a continuation?
