There is no bigger public health story now than the collapse in youth mental health. The numbers are terrifying and dominate our headlines. There has been much debate over how we got here, and what to do next, and bestselling author and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt is at the white-hot center of that discourse. Haidt has spent his career speaking wisdom and truth into the most difficult landscapes—communities polarized by politics and religion, campuses battling culture wars, and now the perfect storm contributing to a public health emergency for Gen Z.

Always important skills for supervisors to learn
Leadership Skills for Managers is one of those books/audiobooks that every aspiring supervisor or manager should dive into. No matter how many times we discuss or talk about 'effective communication', there is always room for growth. This book tackles many of these traits and skills that are needed for any manager or supervisor, whether you have a team of two or two hundred.
besides the chapter on inclusion, I thought the information about delegation and assigning work based on employee strengths (vs always sharing the workload equally) was brilliant and is something I will look to implement soon.
I enjoyed the narrator's performance; I thought the tone and pacing made the book easy to listen to.

Great read for managers who want to improve
As someone who’s been 'volontold' of managing a team for a few years, I’ve often felt stuck between just getting the job done and wanting to delegate to my team. The strategies in this audiobook are practical and easy to implement, but what I love most is how they push you to think beyond the basics of management. It will help me shift from just giving tasks to motivating them to do their best.
