I can’t wait for more stories in this world! I hope I get to see more of edd as he is hands down one of my favorite characters I’ve read about who live in this fantastic reality.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Another great "light novel" from the duo and excellent for adults and young adults alike. Reborn as a skeletal gladiator, a champion for his new master, Edd does not dissapoint. I've always wondered what could happen to a necromancer after his untimely demise and now I know one possibility. The plot and storyline moved along at a good place. I look forward to book 2 and the rest of the series! Audio Version: Excellent narration by Christopher Harbour. There was only one voice I couldnt stand but that's just a preference.

Magnificent New Series - Can't Wait For New Books

These authors have an excellent new series on their hands, beginning with this book. I'm always looking for a new series to sink my teeth into, and this by far has been the best book I have come across in a long time. I can't wait to see what they come up with next and will even check out some of their other books while I wait.

A quick, fun listen.

An enjoyable story. Starts out a little slow, but by the end when the MC is coming into his own with his powers, it starts to shine. There is some good humor (especially with the voice of the high-pitched spider). Could have leaned a bit further in with the MC. He gets renamed from a real dark, gothic sounding name to Edd--but the name change doesn't end up making any difference in the story. While not perfect, it's a quick listen, and by the end it did have me looking forward to where Edd's story goes if a sequel happens.

part of a bigger whole

the book was a quick read with a didn't waste time going from Point A to Point B. the story can feel at times like it is missing something and that is because it is part of a much bigger shared universe all building towards a shared conclusion. the performance was spot on with the tone of the book and the voices fit each character that they were pared with.

good short story

interesting world, and story. it was very short, with a good performance. needs little more story to make it a 5 star

books pretty good

I will admit at the start of the book I didn't understand anything. it took a while but it got good. there isn't any world building, the character progression is left wanting, the narrator is good, I didn't like the side characters. now that, that is done let's get into what I like about it. I like the gladiator fighting aspect and him being a skeleton gives it a cool spin. the book is good for the price. probably better. 4 hours wasn't enough. this series isn't for everyone even for me I didn't like it at the start. but in the 3 hours I listened to it got better. the reason I said the side characters are unlikable is... I don't really have a reason. the dialog is left wanting when it comes to his group. and it's not like there really a group. it's like there allys because they have to be allys. that's why I don't really like the side characters. and why are you still reading? you should be listening.

Pretty Good

Love the story and the interactions with the characters. Interesting to see how Crixa manages the people and talks with The Dark Lord. My only gripe would be the narrators choice in voices. Short but still good.

Monster evolution Lit RPG

I’ve always enjoyed fantasy stories from the monsters perspective and video games with an evolution mechanic. This book has both, Ed the conqueror is a skeleton champion fighting and evolving throughout a well written story narrated well for audible. Well worth the listen!

Action packed and thrilling to the end!

from the beginning to the end my attention was grabbed and would not let go! the storyline and the action scenes were the highlight for me. only complaint I have is that I wish it was longer!
