An inspiring book toward living a meaningful life

I've been a fan of Guy's since his first book The Macintosh Way. Guy's done many good things in his life and he has shared practical tips for people starting companies, building movements and more. In this latest and most personal book, guy is sharing life lessons for younger people entering the workforce (Gen Z) giving practical advice on developing a growth mind set, how to develop resilience (grit!) and more. Guy pulls lessons from his own life and career and also shares lessons from remarkable people he's interviewed for his podcast. I think this book deserves a place on every college grad's bookshelf. It's educational and inspiring without ever being preachy. Guy has said that his podcast is the best work he's done and this is a great distillation of the podcast. It's all delivered with the irreverent humor that Guy is known for. I highly recommend this book. I just wish Guy had narrated more of it.

The genius of Kawasaki's work lies in its universality. It's rare to find a book that appeals to a wide range of readers, from young adults at the onset of their careers to seasoned professionals looking for renewed inspiration and guidance. Kawasaki's insights are drawn from a rich career, experiences, offering lessons that are at once timeless and highly relevant in today's fast-paced world.

Remarkably unremarkable. Expected much more

Disliked the narrator when it wasn’t Guy. Had expectations of much more illuminating stories to draw from.

Unremarkable and littered with political views

I was really excited for this book. And while the examples he uses are well worn and fine, there are constant distractions (starting with the intro) with political bias. Even since debunked items. The author praises the use of mask mandates and the brave people pushing for them in Texas (where there were no mandates) while its since been proven such mandates didn't even work. The display of hubris and virtue is really distracting and takes away from the book.
