The vagus nerve allows our brains to receive information concerning many different bodily functions, and it can affect many different areas of the body, including one’s voice. This is one of the first symptoms of vagus nerve disorder. The nerve can affect us to the point of causing issues such as obesity, chronic health problems, and even mood disorders. Also, overthinking is irritating to the mind and can result in serious consequences to the well-being of an individual.

Publisher's summary
Have you ever heard of vagus nerve self-help exercises for regulating emotions and treating several Illnesses? Want to find out how vagal stimulation and psychophysical well-being are closely related?
Then this book has certainly been designed for you!
Emotions, affect regulation, and interpersonal social behavior are psychological processes that define how people react to events, environmental difficulties, and other people. These processes build our sense of self, help us form connections, and influence whether we feel comfortable in different situations or with different individuals. Despite the fact that these processes may be witnessed scientifically and subjectively, they constitute a complex interplay between our psychological experience and physiological control.
Today, we are increasingly dependent on prescription medicines to modify our behavioral and emotional states, rather than workouts and therapy for psychosomatic ailments. This book includes a collection of self-help exercises aimed at stimulating the vagus nerve.
Here is a list of the topics covered in this guide:
- Autonomic Nervous System – What it is and how it works
- All You Need to Know About the Polyvagal Theory
- Neuroception and Faulty Neuroception
- Testing the Ventral Branch of Vagus Nerve
- Mood, Emotional-State Recognition and Vagal Tone
- How the vagus nerve can help treat anxiety, depression, and trauma
- The Polyvagal Theory—A New Paradigm for Health Care
- Self-help Exercises to Improve Your Mental Health
- How to Stimulate Vagus Nerve with Yoga and Breathing
Are you ready to discover how to release your body's natural healing capacity and rewire your brain through easy self-help daily exercises? Listen to this book and start improving the quality of your life today!

Here, for the first time, is a layperson's explanation of polyvagal theory, an approach to mental health and well-being that has taken the clinical world by storm. A polyvagal approach to life is based on the knowledge that the autonomic nervous system is shaped by early experience and reshaped with ongoing experience. This short book will offer an overview for nonspecialists and provide a series of exercises and meditations (practices) that will allow listeners to tune into their nervous systems, providing calming prompts to build and strengthen ventral vagal connections.

The vagus nerve is often referred to as the "wandering nerve" because it has a long route, extending from your brainstem up into your face. It profoundly influences virtually every organ, tissue, and system in the body, including your heart and lungs, digestive tract, liver, and kidneys. The vagus nerve also plays an important role in regulating your autonomic nervous system to help you feel calm and relaxed during stress. You should explore this title if you are interested in using an alternative medicine resource to improve your health and well-being.

Take care of yourself
I love this audiobook! It's so great to see someone who is knowledgeable and empowered, who can share that with others. I love how much she emphasizes the importance of listening to your body. When we're young, we're taught that our bodies are our enemy and they need to be controlled or they'll hurt us, but what if it's not true? What if it's actually our best friend?
The exercises are so simple and easy to do, but I love how effective they are at helping me get in touch with my body and learn how it works. I've been doing them for a few weeks now and I feel like I'm finally starting to understand myself better.
I think everyone should listen to this book whether they're interested in vagus nerve exercises or not—it's just a great book about living mindfully and taking care of yourself!

Health improvement
The vagus nerve is one of the largest nerves in the body, connecting our heart and brain. It's responsible for controlling many functions in our nervous system, including our heart rate, digestion, breathing patterns, and more. When we're stressed out or anxious, the vagus nerve becomes overactive. This can lead to all kinds of issues like headaches and digestive distress.
The vagus nerve stimulation is a fantastic tool for anyone wanting to improve their health, especially if you suffer from chronic pain.

Effective techniques
I have always had a tendency to worry, which in turn impacted my ability to sleep and led to severe stomach issues. Since experimenting with the vagus nerve stimulation techniques taught by Dr. Jeremy Young, I have not only been able to overcome most of my anxiety but also feel better overall.

Life changing
The information in this audiobook is life-changing, but the practical exercises really stand out. The author has done an excellent job explaining how the vagus nerve works and how it affects our health, while also providing practical exercises that can be done at home without equipment.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for ways to improve their overall wellness! It's easy to read, concise and provides a lot of valuable information about how the vagus nerve affects our overall health (and well-being).

Polyvagal theory
I just listened to this audiobook, and it was so informative! This is the first time I've heard of the polyvagal theory, and I am so glad I found out about it. The narrator did a great job explaining how this theory works and what it means for our bodies.
The exercises in the book were easy to follow and really made me feel like they were helping me relax.

Stimulating vagus nerve
The vagus nerve is part of our autonomic nervous system, which controls involuntary actions like heartbeat and breathing. It's also responsible for regulating digestion, among other things.
This audiobook focuses on using Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) to treat certain health conditions and improve your overall wellbeing. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about vagus nerve stimulation because it covers everything you need to know in an easy-to-understand way.
