Must read!

A must read for someone wanting an introduction to somatic therapy. The book is easy to understand and the practical techniques easy to implement. One of the best books I’ve read on somatic therapy. Looking forward to future books by the author.

Helpful and Practical for Healing from Trauma

I found this audiobook surprisingly helpful for addressing the lasting effects of trauma. As someone who experienced a traumatic event at the age of 13, I’ve had chronic health issues like fibromyalgia, and these exercises are beneficial in working through some of that. The book covers a lot about how trauma leaves impressions on the body and includes plenty of practical exercises to help eliminate or ease those effects. While I see this as only part of the work to be done in healing, it’s an essential piece missing from my approach.

The exercises take only a few minutes, making them easy to work into my routine. Plus, the narrator has a very pleasant voice, which makes the sessions feel calm and peaceful to me. I’d recommend this to anyone dealing with stress, trauma, or health issues tied to those experiences. I also believe this approach would be helpful to anyone dealing with the overall stress and anxiety of life.

I always appreciate an accompanying PDF to an audiobook, and you will find one here.This makes for easy reference after the listen. I can also visualize how researched this topic was for the writing of this material, as evidenced by an extensive Reference section at the conclusion of the PDF. Well done!

This is a great book for anyone; Period! This book was helpful for relieving stress and the tools presented are amazing as they have helped me tremendously. The narrator also has a soothing voice and was relaxing listening to.

Great Resource for Therapists & Mindbody Educators

I found this book easy to listen to and understand. The step by step practices are clear, and case examples add depth. I would recommend this book for anyone just beginning to explore the field of Somatics and those who are currently counseling, coaching, teaching and developing Somatic Mind-body programs to share with their clients and students. I am also happy to have the PDF to return to so that I am accurately quoting when discussing the material. Very helpful! I appreciate the detail and the friendly presentation. I will be sharing as an educational resource.

Get this book!

This audiobook was fantastic! I didn't know much about the topic before listening to it, but by the end, I felt that I had a very decent handle on somatic therapy. It takes practice, but the 10 minutes daily is enough that you have no excuse not to try it in your day. I appreciated that the audiobook included a pdf of the book because the planner is useful. I suggest you give this a try if you're looking to add something to your stress-management and mindfulness arsenal.
