Publisher's summary

A young man unwillingly saddled with a Werewolf System attempts to live his life . . . without killing too many people . . .

Not long ago, Gary was just another punk teenager living in a ramshackle house in a ramshackle town. To survive, he worked as a gofer for a brutal street gang—until a simple job went bad, and he ended up paired with a Werewolf System that enhanced his strength, stamina, and attitude.

But as Gary quickly learned, this gift could also be a curse, costing anyone who got too close to him their life. Now, he's trying to figure out how to use his system to make things better for those around him. Unfortunately, before things get better, they're going to get much, much worse.

Because Gary isn't the only werewolf roaming the streets. And he's not necessarily the strongest. Plus, his rivals belong to gangs that would be more than happy to put him down like a mad dog. His only hope is to level up, man up, and let his killer instinct take over.

The second volume of the hit progression-fantasy series—with more than five million views on Webnovel—now available on Audible and wherever ebooks are sold!

This book series was absolutely amazing. It’s definitely one of my favorites now.

I dislike that they left us on a “ Thank you, father” . Really you had to do us like that.

It can seem corny in certain aspects, but overall I thought it was quite witty.

The storyline has progression which left me wondering what's really going on in it's depths. However, I also feel like it built areas that are just going to end up being left without further explanation. I expected this to be the final book of the series and realized that this is where some of those initial closed ideas are starting to develop subplots and opening for stronger characters development. Hopefully it doesn't end up being like that Madara build up in Naruto. I'd hate to see another progress with promises only for a sad conclusion. LOL Kinda upset to see it hasn't revealed the series collection, so it might haven't been completed but ongoing. Hence my worry for plots being unfinished due to being forgotten because of lost creativity. FINISH STRONG. LOL And great build up this far.

Volume 3 and it gets darker

Love JKS stories.. always a good job in the writing process even though I did notice some small errors that where not corrected when I read this back when it first started… just be advised as the story does get darker at the end which is upsetting at what happen but glad the revenge is dealt!

Couldn't sleep until I finished it.

I have to admit I found a story I love when I can't put it down even when its time for sleep. It's happened before, but extremely rarely. Lost the first day of my Staycation to finishing this one. And I was not disappointed. I was very satisfied. Without giving away spoilers there is one spot I found extremely hard to deal with in the climax during the end. It wasn't bad from a story perspective, just the opposite, the kind of thing that lights the fires in characters. And, yes, I know reality can be extremely harsh and unforgiving, but seeing that in a story like this was a little hard for me to deal with. There was an "upside", although pyric, so I made it through with that at least. I suppose it's just a "trigger" issue for me, but I certainly am not going to put down the series unless I see much more of that. In fact, I need to beg that the next installment get here soon, so hopefully I can see more "resolution" since just one on the side seems like it's not enough. Overall the story and system is solid, extremely consistent, believable, and I loved it. But, I also saw what I thought might be a plot hole. Although there is more to learn before I find out if there actually is a reason for what happened or not. Sorry, it's hard to explain without spoilers. Let's just say that a rooftop situation not working the same as a similar key event that we've been tracking since the climax of the first book doesn't make much sense to me, yet. At this point there can be a valid explanation we have yet to learn, but I wanted to call that out since I truly loathe major inconsistencies that pull me out of the story. Regardless, I loved this book, and this series, and I'm going to pre-order the next one as soon as it's available to do so.

÷Excellent

Every book in this series just gets better and better and even more complex and interesting. I can't wait for the next one. The narrator is also one of my favorites. Good job all around.

Another Great Book

Loved the voice acting that brought the story to life even more. The complex emotions from the characters added to the story and I can't wait for the next book.
