Tired of all the conflicting diet advice? "Don’t eat carbs." "Count calories." "Intermittent fast." The list goes on. The truth is that none of the popular weight-loss approaches gets it right. Based on years of painstaking research, Fat Funeral sets the record straight, busting myths, breaking down the science, and helping thousands of people lose weight for good.

In this highly readable book, you will:

Finally understand nutrition, once and for all. (WARNING: there is a food even more fattening than added sugar. It’s just as common as added sugar, too. It’s strange that so few people know about it.)

Read This Now

For all of the science in this book, it's surprisingly enjoyable to listen to. I really got the sense that the author truly cares about the person listening. He accounts for real life, and makes a world of sense.
Read this book. I'll be listening a few more times to help keep me focused.

Food for Thought

I devoured this comprehensive book on the physiology and psychology of permanent weight loss. Glad I purchased it and I am certain will refer back to the chapter on habits.

Wonderful information

This is the best book on nutrition I have ever read. There is more information on food and how our bodies process nutrition than anything else I have ever seen. If you want to understand how good really impacts your health, this book is a must read. I feel it should be rated seven stars. You gain use able knowledge from this book.

Scientific Based Advice

What makes this book unique is it is about weight "control" not just weight loss. Also, no products or gimmicks. Just easy to remember habits.

I spent years researching and learning what is summarized very well in this straight forward book. I found it to be a great reminder of facts I forgot and I learned a few new things.

I have renewed my resolve to apply these principles to get back to my preferred healthy weight. I plan to update my review after a few weeks to share my results.

Foundational information

This book was great. Every time you hear something you feel like bucking against, you are reminded that the findings are based on science and NUMEROUS studies. If you listen, and stop trying to talk yourself out of the information in the book vs what you struggle with all the time (read find a magic diet bullet) you will soak up some very valuable information and tools, as well as realize a lot of this is stuff you knew all along but didn’t want to believe. It’s almost the equivalent of the “ready to diet as an adult”book. Really enjoyed all the information and that the author has been on the journey himself.

Best nutrition book I’ve read

This is the best book on health and nutrition I’ve read to date. The author explains why the short list of fattening foods are fattening then why many foods that pop diets demonize are not fattening. Then goes through why you should exercise and why it doesn’t have to be self torture.

Great Information. Slow Narration.

This book was full of great documented information. I appreciated the author’s no nonsense approach and style of writing. However, the narrator read very slowly. His cadence was almost too laid back. I set the playback speed to 1.4x and still followed along just fine. I would still highly recommend listening to this book. Just adjust the playback to where you are comfortable and you won’t regret it.

Confusing

I was confused about what’s good snd bad until the end. It’s almost impossible to find “Whole Foods” without some sort of additive. I do intermittent fasting, which he says is a good thing. Overall an interesting read
