Publisher's summary

Take a vacation, they said. Get away from Silicon Valley's backstabbing and power-grabbing. Recharge the innovative batteries. Unwind, then come back stronger than ever. Instead, I got lost at sea and fell in love with an antisocial lobsterman. There's one small issue: Owen Bartlett doesn't know who I am. Who I really am.

Owen: I don't like people. I avoid small talk and socializing, and I kick my companions out of bed before the sun rises. No strings, no promises, no problems. Until Cole McClish's boat drifts into Talbott's Cove and I bend all my rules for the sexy sailor. I don't know Cole's story or what he's running from, but one thing is certain: I'm not letting him run away from me.

You must listen to this

I discovered Kate Canterbury recently and was amazed with her style. She delves into relationships in a way I’ve never found with any other author. She makes the reader really understand the relationship’s development and the people in it. Another thing I love is that her characters are real, flawed, interesting and insecure — human! Her characters are not the more 2 dimensional characters often found in the romance genre. I am reading or listening to all of her books now. This book is a male/male relationship that I have not often read. It’s an amazing story that will leave you loving Owen and Cole and the development of their relationship. Listen to this warm, powerful performance. You’ll be glad you did.

Engaging read

Passionate. Original. Sensual. Candid. Entertaining. Easily describes Fresh Catch. I first read the ebook and when it came out in Audible ; I knew , I needed to revisit this wonderful and entertaining story.

Noah Michael Levine and Chris Chappell did a fantastic job bringing Cole and Owen , the heroes , to live. The chemistry between them felt real .

There are many things I liked about this book . I enjoyed the easy, natural and fluid friendship, courtship and relationship between the heroes . Also, the low angst and unnecessary drama in the story; and when the proverbial conflict in the relationship arose, it was resolved in an adult, respectful and believable way.

I see myself revisiting this characters again and again.

Loved!

This was a heart warming romance about two men who had thought they cut themselves off from any long lasting relationship finding love with each other. Owen, the salty lobsterman and Cole, the awkward high tech wizard with both adorable and real. I highly recommend this book and audible.

inreresting

This is not my usual sub-genre of romance, but I did enjoy the story. The beginning was a little trite but as the story progessed the character development got more in depth and had me pulling for Owen and Cole's HEA.

The ending was not over the topand fit well with the reat of the story.

So many feels

I’m not one for liking angst-filled books and this story has very little. I enjoyed reading about the relationship that develops between these two strikingly different men. Loved the way Cole started finding himself and Owen began opening up. The story is a study between 2 diverse worlds and lifestyles. What bumped it up for me was the fantastic narration style of both narrators. They fit the characters perfectly and augmented the story beyond the words on the page. I got teary-eyed a few times - all the “fault” of the meaningful reading. The author didn’t shy away from the sexy scenes and those were read superbly!

Catch and Don't Release

When Cole takes a forced vacation and ends up stranded in Owen's cove, anything can happen. Cole has been forced out of his CEO job in the company that he founded. Taking some time to think through life, he sets sail, only to to end up in with too many issues to mention on his boat. Owen comes to his rescue and takes him in. Throughout the course of the summer Owen and Cole connect - sparks fly and love ensues. Will Cole stay after summer ends? You'll have to read to see if they will get their HEA :)

Sweet & Sexy

I’m fairly new at being a gay romance junky. I’m almost going through a book a day and sometimes two. I have enjoyed enough now to have both favorite authors and narrators. I’ve even singled out narrators I don’t like listening to no matter how good the stories. Kate Canterbary has become a new favorite with this book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her words brought to life from the readings of Noah Michael Levine and Chris Chappell. The story was sweet and sexy but not sappy. The thoughts and words of the characters were engaging and I felt invested in their happiness. What a treat to read and I miss them just by finishing this book. Enjoy the read!

I enjoyed these two characters. They were opposites, for sure but they simmered and became hot! it was a feel good read!
