Resumen del Editor
From the popular host of The Astral Hustle, an accessible guide to hacking your mind - and life - to feel more fully present and alive, even if you're not the "the meditating type".
Through his popular podcast The Astral Hustle and online meditation course Release into Now, Cory Allen has helped thousands of people better cope with the stress of daily life through meditation, mindfulness, and mental clarity. With concise advice and profound simplicity, he manages to cut through the jargon and speak to people where they are, giving them the tools to live in "the wow of now."
In this accessible and supportive guide, Allen walks listeners through the basics of mindfulness - not as something you should do, but as a tool to achieve greater peace of mind, dial down anxiety and stress, and truly feel like yourself. Informed by a lifelong personal journey, as well as insights gathered through podcast interviews with leaders in mindfulness, neuroscience, and philosophy, Now Is the Way is a simple user's manual for living the life you want, one present moment at a time.

It has been a daily companion, guiding me back to reality, to what’s actually happening, reeling me back to my breath, reminding me to relax, and making me laugh along the way.” (Devendra Banhart, author of Weeping Gang Bliss Void Yab-Yum and Grammy nominated musician)
"An insightful debut...Anyone looking for a practical, no-frills introduction to meditation and its potential benefits will readily benefit from Allen’s affable and upbeat style, and his practical tips for getting comfortable on the mat." (Publishers Weekly, starred review)
"Allen, the podcaster behind The Astral Hustle, offers practical advice on meditation, moving on from the past, being kinder, and more. He also provides several exercises readers will find useful for learning how to relax and live in the moment." (Success Magazine)

Historia
Behind our stress, clutter, and confusion is an infinitely spacious place one might call stillness or joy. This is our natural state of being, but we usually don’t experience it, because we are caught in a web of material possessions, desires, and fears. Our clutter often becomes another member of the family that we feed, house, and lug around. In Your Spacious Self, author and professional space clearing expert Stephanie Bennett Vogt shows us that it’s not our stuff but the holding on to it that creates a force field of stuck-ness that clouds our perceptions and paralyzes our lives.

And if you grew up in struggle - overcoming homophobia, sexism, trauma, shame, depression, poverty, toxic masculinity, racism, or social injustice - you need a different type of meditation...one that doesn't pretend the struggle doesn't exist. Now, Justin introduces Freedom Meditation - an approach that addresses disillusionment, social justice, and shame; strengthens intuition; cuts through self-doubt; and empowers you to make better decisions.

It influences our relationships, impacts our physical body, works its way into our conversations, sparks non-nourishing behaviors, and forces us to do things we'd never want to do. “Scale” has become a favored buzzword in the startup world. But scale isn't just about accumulating more users or capturing more market share. It's about whether an idea that takes hold in a small group can do the same in a much larger one. Translating an idea into widespread impact, says University of Chicago economist John A. List, depends on one thing only: whether it can achieve “high voltage”—the ability to be replicated at scale. In The Voltage Effect, List explains that scalable ideas share a common set of attributes, while any number of attributes can doom an unscalable idea.

Historia
Rumi's inspiring and deceptively simple poems have been called ecstatic, mystical, and devotional. To writer and activist Melody Moezzi, they became a lifeline. In The Rumi Prescription, we follow her path of discovery as she translates Rumi's works for herself - to gain wisdom and insight in the face of a creative and spiritual roadblock. With the help of her father, who is a lifelong fan of Rumi's poetry, she immerses herself in this rich body of work, and discovers a 13th-century prescription for modern life.

You make hundreds of decisions every day, from what to eat for breakfast to how you should invest, and not one of them could be made without the essential component of emotion. It has long been held that thinking and feeling are separate and opposing forces in our behavior. But as Leonard Mlodinow, the best-selling author of Subliminal, tells us, extraordinary advances in psychology and neuroscience have proven that emotions are as critical to our well-being as is rational thinking.

Aging - not cancer, not heart disease - is the underlying cause of most human death and suffering. The same cascade of biological changes that renders us wrinkled and gray also opens the door to dementia and disease. We work furiously to conquer each individual disease, but we never think to ask: Is aging itself necessary? Nature tells us it is not: There are tortoises and salamanders who are spry into old age and whose risk of dying is the same no matter how old they are.

A brilliant, honest, and gentle guide that takes you into the now
I have been working on being in the now for more than 15 years. Cory is a real person not a monk or an enlightened master therefore he can take people like you and I and walk them by the hand into the now.
His voice is calm and authentic. These lessons and practices can open the heart and make the moment a source for peace and joy. There is no better gift than this. The hard thing is to convince the ego to let go and accept it. Love has a way.

Cory Allen is walking the talk
Now is the Way is indeed the way to a more clear vision of self. Cory does an admirable job at making the topic of mindful presence accessable, heartfelt, and pragmatic - while also giving a fun insight to the more esoteric exercises for the mind.
I enjoy his humble but DEEP presentation of thought, bringing together decades of life experience and his years of quality brain-picking of science and wellness experts on the cutting edge of the field through his podcast 'The Astral Hustle' to create a truly useful tool in calming the mind's chatter, overcoming unproductive thought patterns and finding a beauty from within, that just may, promise an appreciation for the beauty of Now.

A beautiful gem of mindfulness
What I loved about this book is that Cory Allen speaks about mindfulness in a very approachable and genuine way. He shares tools- meditations and exercises to help the reader learn and grow. I have already started seeing a difference from the few exercises I’ve done. I appreciate the way the author communicates the information in a very easy to follow, open and accessible way. I highly recommend this book!

Cory Allen loves us all
So glad I heard about Cory. His light wisdom stretches across whatever medium he chooses to send it through. This book is no different. Love the specific mindfulness practices he sprinkles in here. Presents his wisdom with wit and lightness that is humble and honest. I'm a musician, so I also love that he comes from that background as well. Great book, great dude!

The end of the book was particularly and lightning, and I believe useful. It provides not only perspective, but also practical application for some issues that at times have been purely esoteric. I found it to be engaging and useful. I will share it.

NOW is the time to be a Rascal
Wonderful heart-felt book!
Cory has an uncanny ability to playfully navigate both the profound and profane.
A true RASCAL!
Cory's deep and broad perspective of mindfulness are a breath of fresh air in a highly contrived time of being "WOKE".
His podcast, music/binaural beats & guided meditations are enjoyable as well!

Excellent entry point into mindfulness/meditation
This incredibly thoughtful and clearly expressed book proves to be a PERFECT entry point into mindfulness and meditation. Corey is able to clearly describe complex ideas in a very accessible way and serves us up so much actionable wisdom in a relatively short book. It was very informative and enjoyable and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the world of mindfulness/meditation. I feel like this book has the potential to be absolutely life changing for seekers fresh on their path. Also, it is an absolute treat to have the author reading the book. Check out the sample to hear just howt incredibly calming and beautiful his voice is. Thank you so much Corey for putting this out into the world, I'm sure it will help many on their journey!
