Same universe different target audience.

Couldn’t get into this book. Enjoyed Marko’s other books in this universe just not this one so much.

A beautiful start

Firstly, the narration is fantastic as well as superb writing.

This is a fantastic start to a new series and I love the new perspective we are getting to see here. This series is going to be a great addition for any fans of Marko Kloos, so buckle up.

excellent continuation for the series

just as good as the previous books in the Frontlines series. Alex is just as well written a character as Andrew was, and it's refreshing to get a new point of few in a universe that I love. if you enjoyed the Frontlines series this book will not disappoint

Really good continuation of the story

I was sad that Andrew's story ended, but it was time and made sense. this was a great story and I'm excited to see where it goes.

When do we get more of the story?

Intrigue, humanity, surprises
Great for people that like a bit of science fiction. Hoping that the story continues.

Good story, not may fav narrator

I’m interested to see how the story unfolds in the second book, nice to have a female lead character, love the dogs aspect, I hope the dogs continue in the next book. Narrator kind of sounded like Siri or a decent robot voice. Not much inflection and the different character voices were not very different. Really enjoy the Marlo Kloos stories and I imagine narrators are hard to find. When Front Lines switched from Luke to Eric, it took some getting used to but they were both good. This narrator for this book is too flat imo.

surviving colony

The look at teens during war times is remarkable in this book when connected to the series of military space battles unsurmountable odds. A lone colony is holding out against the Lanky invasion. Using every resource they hold out for 8 years against phenomenal odds. A young teen not only loses her parents in the initial invasion. But services for nearly a decade by helping out any way she could. Being close to shelter is all that saved this colony.
With military resources, ingenuity and creative uses they survive not only the invasion. But every day after be the skin of their teeth.
A great story of human creation and the strength in small numbers.

Great start to a new series

Frontlines is one of my favorite series. I’m excited for this new start in the existing universe and can’t wait for the next book.

Read this book! You won’t want to put it down. There is excitement from beginning to the end.
