The Russian by Saul Herzog is the stunning second instalment in the series that has taken the publishing industry, and Hollywood rights departments, by storm. This dazzling tour de force is a full standalone novel. From the mind of one of the most creative and versatile writers working in America today, this book will surely go down as a classic of the spy thriller genre.

If you listen to only one book this year, this is it. Action, adventure, rebellion, provocative foreign agents, characters you can sink your teeth into. If you're looking for a new spy thriller series that will stay with you long after you finish listening, look no further.

Recommended for fans of Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne, and Brad Thor's Scot Harvath.

Helluva story!

Saul Herzog knows how to tell a compelling story with depth of character and lots of nuance, avoiding the normal cliches that seem to dominate this genre.
Herzog has taken the thriller genre to the next level and Jay Meyers is an excellent choice for narrator, bringing the many different types of characters to life with their distinct voices, both male and female, with a wide range of accents.
This is an audiobook series that is tough to put down.

Loved it #2

Characters continue and the political dilemmas grow. Impressive performance again. Kept me coming back to listen like the first book. Def recommend, but I’d recommend listening to first book first. It’s worth it anyway.

Superb

This book is incredibly interesting. The depiction of the “Baby Houses” is disturbing & worse, a sad reality. The storyline of this book is well throughout & very entertaining. Well worth listening to!

The actions pace

Like that it runs as today runs. Lot of action and intrigue, sometimes it gets a little out there but it is still a good read

Character development was excellent

I appreciate the way this book opens within hours of the last one, which has prompted me to immediately get the next. It is one long continuous story that just keeps developing the characters better as it goes.

The response of the U. S. President is sad, yet believable 😕

I love all the female characters, and hope that they became an even bigger part of the story in upcoming books!

The portrayal of how the government treats assets

I found the book hard to put down. The characters are well portrayed and not over dramatic
