Story
Ever since medical school, Dr. Christiane Northrup has been guided by an essential truth about the way our bodies, minds, and souls are intertwined. It's the same truth Edgar Cayce expressed in this famous formula: The spirit is life. The mind is the builder. The physical is the result. When we don't grasp this - when we view our bodily well-being in isolation - life can devolve into constant worry about our health and constant battling to make our bodies "behave".

Story
Growing from a boy to a man is no easy task. Bodies are changing, social circles are evolving, hair is appearing in places it never was before - and on top of it all, there's the ever-present pressure to conform to the typical idea of what it means to be "manly". But it's easier to do if you're armed with facts. Using personal anecdotes as an overly observant mother of two boys and plenty of scientific information from her life as a neuroscientist, Mayim Bialik, PhD, star of The Big Bang Theory, talks directly to teen boys about what it means to grow from a boy to a man.

Amen 🙌
Being a nutritional therapist myself, I didn't think I would get much out of this book. What could Daniele possibly have to say that would be new to me?! After meeting her, I decided to give it a listen. Hands down, this book is amazing and every woman and girl reaching puberty should read it. As a culture we have to shift our focus from weight loss to gaining health by addressing the root causes of our weight gain, or acne, or autoimmune disorsee. That is the only way we are going to reach sustainable health goals. Thanks Daniele for being brave enough to validate the struggle and empathize with every women in America.

So much misinformation
I so wanted to like this book, but there is so much misinformation and non science based opinions that I just can’t stomach this. Not only does the author disparage others for alternative views, she also has many non fact based alternative views herself. I had to stop listening when she called bananas GMO’s. Bananas are not genetically modified organisms. They have been bred to be what they are, which is completely different.
