Great story, but slow progression

I’m really invested in the story but there are some scenes that take forever to get through that seems to have little to do with the story. It really slows things down. To be fair, the series has been like that most of the way through so it is not new with this book, but it was more noticeable this book.

Boring filler story can’t wait for next

Too much filler and waiting for the next book. Hopefully finally learn more about the different systems.

Reminded me of Robinhood

What is next? Cooking, battling, leveling up or all of the above. No matter what Derrick and Silvy are up to the task

Needs work but enjoyable

Good story. It was hard to finish, but I’m glad I was able to.

Negative: Narrator read the combat as if he was reading the biography of mundane man existence. Very boring and not at all captivating combat.

Positive: The narration of the “slice of life” aspect of this series was great! Very fun to see new characters that Derek gets along with.

Great series, but not my favorite book in it

Notice how the summary feels like it is more focused on the previous book than this one? That's how the entire book felt to me.

Not poorly done or anything, but be expect this book to mainly be catching up from previous events.

Derek is a fantastic MC

I absolutely love this series and look forward to every new book.

Hopefully more will come out soon because the story is very interesting and it’s got me hooked

I enjoy the development shown in the story. protagonist is very consistent in his behavior. bunny is always awesome. I can't wait for the next appearance of Dave.

While I enjoyed the story I think this one is probably the most boring out of all the previous books, the whole ending the war just got dragged on a little too much. the best parts were the ones about earth with jayce and colvin. also jayce is definitely going to kick Derek's butt
