This will help you sleep better

The book is structured logically with one key point in each chapter supported by research and studies and followed by tips. Some tips are simple and obvious (if you have a big engagement on a certain day, schedule your calendar so you're getting enough sleep for at least several days before the engagement). Another obvious tip but hard to implement is not to use your devices or watch TV an hour before your bedtime. The blue light from the monitors and addictive apps will make you alert and lessen your quality of sleep. Even if you're sleeping for 7-8 hours, you will not be getting the REM and deep sleep that your body needs (which is why you wake up drowsy). Another good tip is to meditate, especially if you have inner chatter running in your head at night. A surprising tip is to get more sunlight, particularly from 6 am to 8:30 am, to wake up your body and regulate your circadian rhythm. There are also tips contrary to what many people believe. Don't exercise before bedtime. It raises your body's core temperature and makes it harder to fall asleep (despite feeling physically tired). With so many tips provided, you can implement a few at a time and evaluate how it affects the quality of your sleep.

Highly suggested to read this book

I highly suggest reading this book! He has some very awesome ideas how to get some better sleep that are simple. As well as some that are more complicated but effective. On the downside I had to take to many notes because I know too little about having proper sleep. Haha

Fascinating!

This book was incredibly fascinating to me! Even though I'm not someone that struggles with getting good quality sleep, there were still things the author discussed that helped me to take my sleep to the next level! It was a really engaging, quick read. Highly recommend!

So much to know!!

i had no idea how little I knew about sleep! although most is common sense, having the research to back it up is huge. i have always slept very little, since I was born, but this book made me want to make sure whatever sleep I can get is of the best quality.

A Must Read!!!

What an amazingly informative and accessible book for people with no medical training. If you implement half the suggestions in this book you’ll completely transform your life for the better. Well worth the time to read.

Very inciteful!

alot of what modern science has revealed about sleep health is reviewed in this book in a very unbiased way with addition tips from an experience person. I've read it twice to help retain it👍
