Powerful Knowledge
This is truly a bodyfat solution! It not only addresses eating and exercise, but does a great job on entwining the psychological issues behind those bad habits that need to change and gives you the tools needed to do just that. All is broken down to a very comprehensive program to encourage a better lifestyle. This is NOT another diet book. This is a life guide!

Informative for the Newbie
This book is perfect for those who are struggling with weight loss Mr. Venuto lays out a simple yet very effective plan for creating a healthy lifestyle as a fitness professional I would recommend this book to any of my novice clients as a good first step in their education (which is the exact intent of this book). That being said I feel this would have been much better if it had been read by the author (he conveyed and actual enthusiasm for the material) the narrators voice was annoying and lacking in any kind of passion for the material he also mispronounced several words to the point I spent more time paying attention to him than to the material.
So if you are new to fitness and proper nutrition go ahead if not look up Mr. Venuto's ebook (which is more advanced and a must read for the fitness profesionals).

The Most Sensible "Diet" Book Ever
I thought this was a great book and am now listening to it for a second time. I have a read a great many "diet" books and food health books and I like the thoughtful manner in which the material is presented in this extrememly wholistic view of "dieting". I put diet in quotes because it is not a traditional diet book. It is more of a philosophical book about health, nutrition and exercise and is a LIFE PLAN, not a short term help to let you lose a few pounds. It presents obstacles to weight loss and health and presents very sound principles for success. Well worth the download. (one caveat: I didn't love the reader...and he mispronounced a couple things. It happens.)

Old Uncle Ned's Fitness Advice?
I couldn't listen a minute without thinking that I was being lectured by my high school science teacher or my annoying Uncle Ned. I had to remind myself every 5 minutes that I was getting advice from a fit youngish trainer to keep from shutting it off.
The first half of the book basically tells you to get your mind right, the second half gives you tips on eating and exercising. What he says is good and practical. Not alot of new information. But in all honesty. Science is the same and our body's are too. We can only be told the same story so many times before we just have to take it for what it is and just do it. I can definitely see how putting his ideas into application would get me to my goal.

Most rational book on heath and fitness I've read.
This is a well rounded and practical approach to reducing body fat and and improving one's health. It is not gimmicky, and there is no quick fix or other fad diet nonsense. The nutrition plan is reasonable and suitable for the long term. Venuto also allows for human nature and the occasional deviation from the plan for special occasions and celebrations. The beginner workouts can be done by people of most fitness levels and there is a steady increase in difficulty as fitness improves. I found the narration to be very well done and professional. The overall tone of the book is motivating. I believe that following this plan can change one's life. I am 55 years old, fat and being treated for heart disease.In the past 4 weeks I've lost 12 lbs and 3% body fat. My strength and endurance are steadily improving as is my mood and attitude. This book may well be the best investment I've ever made.

The narrator needs some pronunciation lessons

Yes- I like the overall theme of the book, but the way the narrator pronounces some obvious words kind of makes me want to cringe. I don't know why!

Life changing
Would you consider the audio edition of The Body Fat Solution to be better than the print version?
This book is filled with advice on limiting beliefs and ways to change our attitude. It's filled with ways to change our beliefs, our relationship with food and how to deal with emotional eating. Having it as an audiobook allows me to have bookmarks at key points and everyday I hear them when driving the car or walking the dog, times when reading isn't possible.
What other book might you compare The Body Fat Solution to and why?
Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle is another great book by Tom Venuto, though slightly different. The Body Fat Solution focus greatly on beliefs, attitude and emotional eating, the parts about training are not as complete. Both are great books that complement each other.
What about L. J. Ganser’s performance did you like?
I found his reading convincing and engaged. It's a great narration of the book.
